The base of the formula, and most of what is in the bottle.
Benzalkonium Chloride
A disinfectant used in hospitals, antiseptic wipes and first-aid sprays for decades.
Disinfects treated surfaces.
Non-Ionic Surfactant
A cleaning agent that loosens the grip between dirt and a surface.
Lifts dirt and residues.
Lactic Acid
The mild acid that makes yoghurt tangy.
Helps maintain a pet-friendly formulation.
Phenoxyethanol
A preservative. Any water-based product grows mould without one.
Keeps the formula fresh and stable.
EDTA
A water softener. Hard water carries minerals that blunt cleaning; this holds on to them.
Helps keep the formula working as intended.
Iso-Propyl Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol, the same as in hand sanitiser.
Enhances disinfection and helps surfaces dry quickly.
Fragrance
The scent. Ours is light, because a formula that works does not need to cover anything up.
Keeps pet spaces smelling fresh.

Decyl Glucoside
A gentle cleaner made from corn starch and coconut oil, common in baby and sensitive-skin washes.
Plant-derived cleaning agent.
Fragrance
The scent, kept light.
Leaves a clean, neutral smell behind.
Quaternary Ammonium Compound
A family of disinfectants used in hospitals, kitchens and food preparation areas.
Disinfects treated surfaces.
Non-Ionic Surfactant
A cleaning agent that loosens the grip between dirt and a surface.
Lifts dirt, grease and residues.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
A cleaning agent made from coconut oil. It is what lets shampoo lather without stripping skin.
Effective yet gentle cleansing agent.
Iso-Propyl Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol, the same as in hand sanitiser.
Enhances disinfection and speeds drying.
Phenoxyethanol
A preservative, widely used in skincare and cosmetics.
Keeps the formula fresh and stable.
EDTA
A water softener that holds on to the minerals in hard water.

Sodium Chloride
Table salt.

Lactic Acid
